Bray Wyatt vs. The Miz [Non-Title Grudge Match]

The Miz enters the ring. Bray Wyatt enters the ring in his colorful Firefly Funhouse entrance as the crowd chants ‘Yowie Wowie.’ The match is underway and The Miz comes right out of the box with a swift shoot kick and multiple knee strikes at the corner turnbuckle.

Wyatt begs Miz to stop, but Miz continues the knee strikes. Miz tries to tear the features off Wyatt’s face as Wyatt laughs about it. This man needs help. Miz then delivers ‘It’ Kicks to Wyatt at the corner and performs an offensive onslaught on Bray Wyatt with running knees to Wyatt in the corner and an Awesome Clothesline.

Wyatt quickly grabs Miz for a Sister Abigail off the Awesome Clothesline but The Miz counters the Sister Abigail into Skull Crushing Finale. However, he does not go for the cover. He grabs Wyatt’s arm and Wyatt begs Miz to pop it. Miz pops it, and Wyatt goes outside the ring to slam his arm into the barricade as a way to inflict more pain on himself.

Wyatt crazily loves the pain. The Miz grabs Wyatt and slams him into the announce table. He charges at Wyatt but Wyatt dumps him into the timekeeper’s area and delivers a Sister Abigail. Bray Wyatt gets back in the ring and awaits The Miz to get counted out.

The Miz gets back in the ring at the count of nine and Wyatt delivers a Sister Abigail to The Miz for the three-count and the victory. Wyatt says that he’s sorry and forgives The Miz.

The ‘Fiend’ Bray Wyatt then pops up on the titantron and Wyatt agrees that he will do it. He grabs a mallet from under the ring, and it looks like he is going to attack The Miz with the mallet. The lights then dim and it is thought that The Fiend would show up. Instead, Daniel Bryan returns with a Running Knee to Wyatt and a new hair cut to represent when Wyatt ripped off his hair as the Fiend under the ring.

As the crown chants ‘Yes,’ he delivers running dropkicks to Wyatt and another Running Knee. He makes Wyatt suffer with shoot kicks to Wyatt in the center of the ring. He then picks up the Mallet to whack Wyatt, but lights dim and Wyatt disappears. Bryan chants ‘Yes’ with the crowd to close the segment.

Result: Universal Champion Bray Wyatt

Grade: 3.0/5.0 Stars

Analysis: Pretty average match, but the psychological tricks that Wyatt plays are always fun to watch. Nice to see Daniel Bryan back with a new haircut. This should mean that we get a match between Bryan and Wyatt at the Royal Rumble.
