WWE TLC 2019: Results, Highlights, and Grades

Kabuki Warriors (c) vs. Tea Generation X [Women’s Tag Team Championships: TLC]

Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair come out first. The Women’s Tag Team Champion Asuka and Kairi Sane from the Kabuki Warriors make their entrance, looking ready for battle and green mist. The Women’s Tag Team Championships are suspended above the ring and this is the first PPV main event for the Women’s Tag Team Division.

Match begins with an all-out brawl amongst the four wrestlers. Kairi Sane is on the apron and sprints into a Big Boot by Charlotte Flair. Lynch and Charlotte then play catch with Kairi Sane on the announce table. Asuka makes the save and helps Sane dropkick Charlotte’s face into the steel chair. Lynch then delivers a drop toe hold to Sane on the ladder and double team Asuka to deliver a power bomb on the steel post.

Lynch and Charlotte set up the ladder but Sane starts tossing chairs into the ring, causing a ruckus. Lynch and Charlotte toss the chairs back at Sane. Sane goes crazy and goes under the ring. Lynch and Charlotte attempt to catch Sane, but Sane gets pulled back out of the ring with a fire extinguisher and blows the smoke in the face of Lynch and Charlotte.

Asuka grabs a whipped rope and slashes Lynch and Charlotte with it. They put Charlotte in a rolling chair with a kendo stick on her abdomen and push her into the steel post. They focus on Lynch and put her on a folded ladder. They tie her on the ladder with a rope.

They proceed to target the Women’s Tag Team Championships on the ladder. Charlotte attempts to stop them but Asuka delivers a swift sliding kick to Charlotte on the apron. They toss Charlotte over the barricade wall. Meanwhile, Becky is still tied up.

Asuka and Kairi Sane then climb the ladder, but Charlotte comes back with a kendo stick and whacks the Kabuki Warriors with it. She tosses Asuka into the barricade wall and delivers a Fallaway Slam to Sane in the barricade wall.

Charlotte runs to untie Lynch but Kabuki Warriors stop her from doing so. They toss Charlotte into the steel steps and Sane goes on the top of the announce table to deliver an Insane Elbow onto Lynch, but Lynch puts her knees up and unties herself from the rope. Lynch smashes Sane’s back with the steel chair, and Charlotte delivers knife edge chops to Asuka on the other side of the ring.

Lynch and Charlotte bring Kabuki Warriors back into the ring and sit them on steel chairs. They deliver dropkicks to both women. Kabuki Warriors roll out of the ring. Charlotte places Asuka on the table and Lynch flies from the top rope with a picture perfect Leg Drop to Asuka through the table.

Lynch and Charlotte then pick up Kairi Sane to suplex her through the table but Sane counters with a Double DDT. Sane puts Lynch and Charlotte on the table and goes on the apron to deliver an Insane Elbow through the table. She only got Lynch through the table since Charlotte moved out-of-the-way. Unfortunately, the table did not break.

Charlotte then delivers a spear to Sane outside the ring and a powerbomb into the table. Asuka comes back to take control and bury Lynch and Charlotte with tables, ladders, and chairs. She wakes Sane up from the table crash.

They grab the ladder and set it up in the middle of the ring to grab the Women’s Tag Team Championships. Asuka is climbing as Sane keeps guard, but Lynch and Charlotte come back with steel chair attacks to the Kabuki Warrior and a Big Boot to Asuka on the outside.

Charlotte puts Asuka on the table and goes on the top rope for a potential Moonsault through the table but Asuka stops her and grabs Charlotte for a jackknife powerbomb into the table outside the ring. Lynch grabs Asuka for an Exploder Suplex into the Ladder. She’s all alone now. She goes into the ring to quickly climb the ladder, but Asuka comes back.

Lynch whacks Asuka with the rope, but it’s not enough. Asuka locked the rope on the ladder and pulled the rope to toss Lynch off the ladder lasso style. Asuka climbs the ladder to retrieve the women’s tag team championships. There is then a brawl amongst Reigns, Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Revival, New Day, and Street Profits. Roman delivers a SPEAR to Corbin from the top stage into everyone in the crowd to close the show.

Analysis: Excellent main event! Not sure why we had to end the show on a men’s brawl when the attention should be on the women who just went to war. But ay, that’s WWE. #WomenRevolution
