4. Kofi Kingston wins the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35

Kofi Kingston has been around for quite a while. He’s known for his Royal Rumble acrobatics in avoiding elimination.

Kofi won the WWE Championship after a emotionally charged storyline. It was about being “good enough”. The entire WWE Universe got behind this angle and KofiMania was born.

As a result of his Elimination Chamber performance and performing in a series of Gauntlet Matches for a doubtful Mr. McMahon, Kofi won his way to WrestleMania 35 to take the WWE Championship, pinning Daniel Bryan.

After 2019, fans will remember him fondly as a champion. Kofi’s title reign will always be worth remembering. Why? Because the story of having to prove yourself when people don’t believe in you is one we can all relate to.

It’s about having the deck stacked against you and being told that you’re not popular enough or a big enough draw to main event WrestleMania. He proved everyone wrong and carried everyone on a motivational journey that ended with a championship belt around his waist.

This was big, considering that Kofi wrestled at the low to midcard level most of his career. I wasn’t too sure if he’d ever main event for the title, but I was wrong.
