The Revival vs. Heavy Machinery – Miracle on 34th Street Fight

The two teams brawl against the ropes to start, with the heels getting the upper hand in synchronized moves before getting back dropped and get sent to the outside.

The heels get back into this shortly after on the outside, where Dash and Dawson flapjack Tucker onto the announce table. Then, they shove cookies down Otis throat before tossing a Christmas present box at Otis’ head.

They tease suplexing Tucker over a table before Otis makes the save. Dawson recovers by spray fire extinguisher spray in Otis face before The Revival powerbomb Otis through a table, sending us into a commercial break.

Back from break, The Revival smash a present into Tucker’s face up the ramp. The big man struggles to fight off both men while Otis is still down. Wilder smashing another present (which happens to contain a bowling ball) over Tucker’s back before rolling it into his knee.

They send Tucker into the ring, where they try to double team Tucker into a Christmas tree, but Wilder gets sent into it instead. Tucker nearly mounts a comeback, until they hit Tucker with the fire extinguisher and send him into the commentators.

They then toss Otis’ ham on the ground right in front of Otis. He’s incensed. He chokes Dawson out, but Wilder hits him in the back with a giant candy cane kendo stick. Otis is unphased and belly to belly suplexes Wilder into a stack of presents. Otis continues his comeback by slamming Dawson around in the ring.

Otis then pulls out a bag of legos. Yes. Actual legos. Otis slams Dawson into the pile of legos (OUCH), then stacks both Revival members onto each other before slamming them. He nails The Caterpillar on Dawson before Tucker runs in so him and Otis can hit Wilder with the Compactor for the win.

Winners: Heavy Machinery

Grade: B+

I kind of loved this, especially near the end (I popped for the legos). Just a nice, fun, silly holiday match right before the holidays. Had some fun spots to boot.

Backstage, Otis apologizes that Mandy Rose’s ham got smashed. She says it’s alright, hugs him, then gets disgusted that he gets meat sweat all over her. Gross.

Back in the ring, The Revival says the garbage around the ring looks ridiculous, just like how the crowd looks trash. The Revival complain about what their lives and legacy has come to. Gimmicks and jokes at their expense. They ask what happened to actual good ole “wrestling,” rather than “sports entertainment.”

Elias interrupts, saying he understands their frustration, but tries to calm them down with a song making fun of them. “I made my grandma watch a match of yours, and now she’s on life support.” Okay, that was a great line by Elias. “You’re gonna have to make a big change, kind of like Caitlin Jenner.” Then, Elias just leaves.

Meanwhile in the locker room, Sami Zayn says he withdrew Braun Strowman’s name for Secret Santa and asks what he wants for Christmas. Strowman wants to be left alone, and Nakamura and Cesaro intervene, when things look like they’ll get hectic.

Strowman says all he wants for Christmas is a shot at the Intercontinental Championship with his client, Nakamura. Zayn says he can’t because his client is in a tag match with New Day tonight, but he’ll keep it in mind.
