KofiMania deserves a sequel

When a good movie does well at the box office (positive reviews, makes a lot of money, that whole spiel), it pretty much guarantees that a sequel is imminent. The same applies to wrestling.

When WrestleMania 28 became the highest grossing wrestling PPV event of all time (per WrestleZone), it all but confirmed that The Rock vs. John Cena would have their rematch at WrestleMania 29. You know what other, more recent WrestleMania moment is deserving of a sequel? KofiMania.

From the journey to get there in the build-up, to the match itself between Kofi and Daniel Bryan, right down to the former’s win and celebration, KofiMania was well received from start to finish. All of it was genuinely great and made for one of the year’s most beloved feel good moments in wrestling as a whole.

Why not take another crack at it for a KofiMania II? Allow Kofi to have a similar journey, a comeback tour (if you will) going into WrestleMania 36. I guarantee that the sequel – even if it can’t surpass the original – will receive just as much buzz and adoration as the first one did.

If we can get half a dozen Fast and Furious movies, then surely, even KofiMania is deserving of a sequel.
