#1 Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks – Hell in a Cell 2019

This was Becky Lynch’s best match of 2019. While the feud with Flair and Rousey was special, it was the feud between Lynch and Banks that captivated audiences.

The promo work leading up to the event was magical and this was their second match of this feud. Their first match took place at Clash of the Champions and that match did not disappoint either.

The Hell in a Cell match was the better of the two matches because it highlights the value of having a match inside Hell in a Cell. Fans are conditioned to believe that Hell in a Cell will have a different level of physicality and this match gave fans that level of violence.

Both Banks and Lynch did a phenomenal job in giving fans a match that was full of great storytelling and physicality. Lynch was at her best fighting from underneath, while Banks told a story of an aggressive villain who was going to take the beating to Lynch.

The match incorporated a lot of weapons in an already dangerous Hell in a Cell structure. The finish of the match is what makes the match the best of Lynch’s 2019. As Lynch locked in the Disarm-her submission, Banks was fighting it off by reaching for a chair, until the time came where she could no longer fight and tapped out.

This added more emotion to the match because Lynch had defeated the villain Banks with a move that forced the bully to submit in the middle of the ring. Lynch found a way to defeat Banks in what would be the best match of both wrestlers year.
