The Miz vs. Daniel Bryan

Yes! This match is actually happening this time!

Lockup to start. Both trade wrestling holds until Miz shoulder blocks Bryan. Test of strength to follow up. One that both men seemed to be evenly matched on until Miz elbows Bryan in the face. Bryan kicks Miz in the face as a response.

Bryan goes onto wrench Miz’s arm, dragging him to the corner for Yes! Kicks, until Miz is able to slide out the ring and sweep Bryan’s leg. He then sends Bryan face first into the barricade before sliding him back in the ring.

Both men remain evenly matched until, suddenly, a bunch of Corbin’s security guards hit the ring to cause a No Contest. Miz and Bryan successfully fight the guards off, but remain beffuldled on where this leaves the number one contendership.

Backstage, Corbin is told that Roman Reigns was asked to leave the building and as a result, Corbin agrees to wrestle tonight. Bryan and Miz run to the back to attack Corbin, but like at the start of the show, Corbin runs away.

Winner: No Contest

Grade: C-

The action itself didn’t kick into high gear yet before the hot dogging, so not much to grade there. So I’ll comment and strictly grade this whole spiel as a segment.

As of this writing, I’m not sure where WWE is going with all of this hot dogging for their main event. Don’t get me wrong, I’m intrigued (albeit a bit confused as to why they changed and rearranged our main event just to give the originally scheduled triple threat right back to us) and if it brings us someplace interesting, then it’s worth it.

But until it takes us anywhere and until I see the conclusion, all I see is a bunch of hot dogging seemingly for no reason. Seems really overcomplicated and convoluted on the surface so far.
