2. Marty Scurll and more make their debuts

Well this is an obvious prediction, at least as far a new debuts are concerned. All Elite’s recruitment team is on the constant lookout for new talent and that’s clearly going to continue in the 2020.

As far as Marty Scurll is concerned, a contractual agreement between him and his friends at All Elite Wrestling just makes sense. Not to denigrate the always-entertaining product the NWA has been able to put on our digital screens with Powerrr, but Marty Scurll’s adventure with the Alliance will be done by the month of March.

Don’t get me wrong, we’ll get an absolutely stellar Scurll/Aldis match before that happens.

Considering the large set of fans who discovered Marty while he was rubbing elbows with The Elite as part of the Bullet Club, it seems as though the Villain is the missing piece to AEW’s puzzle and would most importantly add another charismatic figure to its roster.

I’m also anticipating the arrival of Brody Lee/Luke Harper at one of the next two pay-per-views where he could potentially face-off against the likes of Jon Moxley or PAC.

Following a year-long plea for a WWE release, AEW setting up Harper as a main event player would be a satisfying start to his All Elite career and help shine a spotlight on one of the finest professional wrestlers of our generation.

1. Jon Moxley wins the World Title

While I’ve enjoyed the legitimacy and comedic element Chris Jericho brings to All Elite Wrestling–and their World Title–on a weekly basis, I think Jon Moxley is an absolute superstar. We’ve seen him exit the WWE, takeover New Japan, and work an brilliant program with Kenny Omega in 2019.

Leading into 2020, all roads point to Mox getting his hands on the AEW World Title at the expense of Le Champion Chris Jericho.

When he isn’t entering arena’s through the raucous Dynamite crowds, he’s putting Kenny Omega through glass coffee tables or taking some of the hardest bumps of the year.

Basically he’s this generation’s antihero. He’s this generation’s bad ass. A ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin for the Elite era of professional wrestling who gets some of the biggest pops on the roster.

Moxley is set to have a Texas Deathmatch with Lance Archer on the first night of Wrestle Kingdom 14 and a rematch with Juice Robinson on night two should he be able to take Archer’s IWGP U.S. Championship on the first night.

Another successful run in Japan on one of the biggest stages in the world will do wonders for his clout on the North American circuit which he’ll be able to leverage by defeating Jericho at ‘Revolution’ on February 29th.
