MJF is in the ring being chastised by the fans who he proceeds to run down. He claims he is the good guy here. MJF runs down Jacksonville as he turns his attention to Cody. He states that the roles have been reversed and their upcoming match is so close to happening but Cody has to agree to his stipulations. MJF then states that the stipulations are:

1. The match has to happen at Revolution and Cody can’t touch him until then.

2. Cody has to defeat Wardlow in a steel cage match to get his match with MJF.

3. Cody has to get whipped with a belt by MJF 10 times live on TNT.

MJF then spouts out his catchphrase, kisses his diamond ring and leaves the ring.

A recap is shown of Jungle Boy vs Jericho from two weeks ago. Jurassic Express are shown being interviewed backstage. Jungle Boy hyped up himself and his group’s potential for the future.

A Legends of Memphis Wrestling showcase is hyped up for next week as well as Riho vs Kris Statlander.

Riho is shown backstage but she doesn’t get a word out before Britt Baker interrupts the champ and chastises her for her absence as of late.

Hangman and Omega vs Private Party and The Lucha Bros vs The Brotherhood are announced for next week.

The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) (0-0 in trios action) vs. The Lucha Bros & PAC (0-0 in trios action)

Omega wants PAC but Pentagon starts off for his team. Pentagon does his signature glove taunt but Omega steals the glove and slaps his opponent with it. The two trade chops and start to trade move but PAC strikes Omega from behind. Omega is still feeling it though as he fights off both Lucha Bros. Nick tags in opposite Fenix and quickly gains the upper hand. Nick employs some lucha libre and hits a nice dropkick on his opponent but The Lucha Bros overwhelm him. Fenix then gets overwhelmed by The Bucks. The two trade strikes as they appear to be extremely evenly matched.

Back from break, Omega goes for Rise of the Terminator on The Lucha Bros but gets blocked by PAC who then lands a massive dive onto Omega. PAC tags in and starts to work over “The Cleaner”. Omega gets the hot tag to Nick who runs wild. Nick goes to town on PAC and tags in Matt. The Bucks hit a rolling destroyer on “The Bastard” and they hit tandem destroyers on The Lucha Bros. Omega tags in and faces off against a downed PAC. The two trade strikes until PAC hits a snap german suplex and Omega hits a V-Trigger/suplex combo. Pentagon breaks up a close pinfall. Pentagon takes out all three of his opponents.

Fenix tags in and plants both Bucks with a cutter but gets planted with a suplex from Omega but Fenix is still alive and hits a cutter on Omega. PAC nails a Black Arrow on Omega but The Bucks break up the pinfall just in time. Omega is locked in The Brutalizer but Matt saves the match again. The Bucks superkick Pentagon as Fenix tags in and eats a V-Trigger from Omega and an One Winged Angel. The Bucks circle Omega to defend the pinfall as Omega pins Fenix clean for the win.

Result: The Elite (1-0 in 2020)

Rating: **** ( 4 stars)

A great high octane match that delivered in spades.

Next. WWE Raw Results, Highlights, and Grades: December 30, 2019. dark

A solid first episode of Dynamite for the year. The only real detractor for this show was the absence of The Dark Order, outside of their short promo. Kinda strange to not have them show up at the arena in any capacity after their intense angle from last week.

But all in all a fun night of wrestling a nice fresh start for 2020.
