For all of the drama we saw in 2019 of The Revival trying to leave the WWE, backstage management are now supposedly confident in an imminent re-signing.

For those somehow unaware, The Revival were constantly rumored and reported to have been in a backstage back and forth with WWE regarding their place with the company in 2019. Or, rather, how badly they wanted to leave the company but were not allowed to exit.

This led to a lot of speculation from fans that both Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder could be making their way over to AEW sooner rather than later, but it looks like we won’t have to worry about that happening anytime soon. At least, that’s what WWE management themselves want to think.

In new words stemming out of the always reliable mouth of our very own Tom Colohue during his YouTube series, he says that he learned recently from backstage sources that management is actually “very confident” that they will be signing The Revival to new contracts soon.

In fact, he adds that management is not worried at all about the former Tag Team Champions being scooped away from AEW. “It tends to be the case that once you’re with WWE, it’s very hard to attract you away,” Colohue notes. He does, however, also mention the Jon Moxley case as a key exception to the rule due to the special nature of that situation.

Of course, while management themselves appear confident that they think The Revival will sign new contracts with WWE, the tag team still has yet to sign those new contracts. Until they do, anything can happen and we will have to wait and see where Dawson and Wilder stand at the end of the day.

We will continue to provide updates to the best of our ability as updates present themselves.
