Deonna Purrazzo

Purrazzo is uber-talented with a bright future in WWE. It is yet to pay dividends on NXT TV, but a lot can happen in 2020. What helps is Purrazzo has made herself noticeable in her short stint on RAW. The match that she had with Asuka was more than just a one-shot enhancement match. Purrazzo was given time to be credible and to showcase to fans what she can bring to WWE television.

She can find success as a fan favorite or an arrogant villain. She had such a good match with Asuka that she has more credibility than other NXT wrestlers. Her armbar submission move can be used as a tool to help build her as someone who, like Baszler, can attack and force her opponent to tap out at any moment.

She has a history with Ripley in NXT UK. In 2018, their match was innovative and told a story that made Purrazzo matter to fans. She may not be ready for an NXT Women’s Championship match in early 2020, but NXT has a proven track record of being able to cultivate talent and take them to a higher level.

It is only be a matter of time before NXT and the WWE Universe knows who Deonna Purrazzo is. She has the tools to be a future NXT Women’s Champion, and now the platform to accomplish that task.
