Candice LeRae

Inside a professional wrestling ring, Candice LeRae is as tough as they come. Her career in NXT has been filled with making the most of the opportunities on television and TakeOvers. She has a wide open road ahead of her.

Whether you like Ripley or don’t like her is your decision. What is hard to argue is that she was tremendous as a villain in NXT UK. This run as a fan favorite has paid off well; it still feels like the real money lies in her as the dominant monster of NXT.

In order to have a monster, you have to have people afraid of the monster. LeRae is the right wrestler to help turn Ripley into that monster. LeRae, as the fan favorite that kids idolize, is the most natural fit for that role. She can face Ripley at a TakeOver event and never give up in a match where she is physically decimated by the champion. As LeRae struggles to her feet – holding the hearts of every man, women, and child in the audience – Ripley can break her one more time in the middle of the ring.

The rematch would be centered on LeRae having to go through hell and back to earn another shot at Ripley. While doing this, she can show her potential as the top fan favorite. NXT has had success in the underdog fan favorite who overcomes the odds to become champion. LeRae can be the next champion and have all the fans at a TakeOver crying celebrating her win to become NXT Women’s Champion.
