Rhino returned to IMPACT Wrestling only fairly recently, but now we are learning that he’ll be stayed put there for two years per his new contract.

Halfway into 2019, Rhino left WWE after his contract expired and he chose not to renew. Also halfway into 2019, IMPACT Wrestling held its annual anniversary show, Slammiversary, and during the World Championship match between challenger Michael Elgin and champion Brian Cage, Elgin was attacked by a not-so-mysterious mystery man.

I say “not-so-mysterious” because the masked man hit a Spear just like Rhino, did taunts just like Rhino, and was suspiciously shaped just like Rhino. And as it turns out, when the man eventually unmasked, it was Rhino.

Since then, Rhino has been in feuds on IMPACT TV with the likes of the aforementioned Elgin, Rob Van Dam, and most recently, Moose, who Rhino will be facing one-on-one this Sunday at IMPACT’s first Pay-Per-View of 2020, Hard to Kill.

In preparation for the PPV, Rhino was a guest on AEW World Champion Chris Jericho’s Talk is Jericho podcast. During the latest episode, he revealed that the contract which he signed to come back with IMPACT has him signed there for two years, with some special perks attached to the deal.

More from Daily DDT

“I’m really excited about IMPACT. I’ve signed for two-years there,” he told Jericho during the podcast (h/t Fightful). “They allow me to do Indies too because it’s important to find new talent. The cool thing about it is, you can find talent and there’s places for them to go.

“The worst thing is to find talent and have them go someplace and they’re not able to use that talent to better wrestling. IMPACT is a good area to hone their skills. That’s what’s exciting about wrestling. We have a lot of great things happening with wrestling right now.”

Now that he’s signed for two years, what are your expectations for the former NWA Champion’s latest run? And since he can work indies as well, what independent promotions would you like to see Rhino next?
