MJF came out and he called Cody Rhodes a coward.

MJF said he would give him to the count of 10 to face him like a man, and then counted down. He called him “a little b*tch.” DDP’s music hit and he came down to the ring.

DDP grabbed a mic and said that if someone told him 19 years ago when WCW died that he would be back on TNT in 2020 on AEW Dynamite, and he would have thought they were crazy. DDP said he was there to talk to MJF, who was just playing with his phone. DDP said that MJF was Motormouth Jackoff Friedman, and MJF said “That’s not my name!”

DDP said people were asking him if he was coming back for one more match. MJF said that DDP in his prime couldn’t lace his boots, but that he didn’t want to fight DDP. MJF said that he knew someone who might, and it was his hired guns, Butcher & Blade. MJF reminded Page that WCW was dead and said that it was the average age of DDP’s fans.

MJF then said he was going to send DDP to Hospice and take one of his daughters and do unspeakable things. Page shoved him, then hit Butcher and Blade with Diamond Cutters. MJF shoved DDP towards Wardlow, but then low blowed DDP. MJF said that what happened to Cody’s mentor was on his hands, but QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes made the save. DDP left the arena through the crowd with Dustin and QT.

The Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy, Marko Stunt, & Luchasaurus) vs. The Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta) & Orange Cassidy

Jungle Boy started the match with Chuck Taylor, and Jungle Boy hit a lucha armdrag on Chuck Taylor followed by a dropkick. Marko wanted to tag in to take on Trent, and the size difference was crazy. Marko chopped himself to power up, and he locked up with Trent. Trent shoved him easily. Marko locked on a headlock and the fans chanted “Let’s go Marko!”

Marko hit a rana off the middle ropes, but Trent came back and knocked him down. Marko rolled Trent up, got a 2, and then tagged out to Jungle Boy. Jungle Boy and Marko hit a ripcord on Trent. Marko looked like he was trying to charge at Trent, but Luchasaurus tried to hold him back like you would a toddler running into traffic, which was hilarious.

Jungle Boy and Trent exchanged a few holds, and Trent hit a shoulder block and tagged out to Chuck. Chuck and Trent continued to work over Jungle Boy for a while during the commercial break.

Marko broke up a pinfall attempt, but Chuck came back in and kept working over Jungle Boy. Chuck Taylor hit a falcon arrow, but Marko broke it up. The ref physically picked him up and put him on the apron.

Jungle Boy managed to tag out to Luchasaurus, who ran wild over Chuck and Trent with several different kicks. Luchasaurus hit a tail whip on Chuck, and then he tagged out to Orange Cassidy. Cassidy hit his lazy kicks on Luchasaurus and went for a suplex, but Orange Cassidy hit a Stundog Millionaire. Orange Cassidy then hit a suicide dive with is hands in his pockets on Luchasaurus.

Chuck Taylor launched Jungle Boy into a spear by Trent, and Orange Cassidy hit a falling splash off the top rope onto Jungle Boy, but Marko broke it up. He hit a tilt-a-whirl flatliner on Chuck and then a Canadian Destroyer on Trent. Luchasuarus then threw Marko at Trent and Orange Cassidy while Jungle Boy hit a hurricanrana on Chuck Taylor for the pinfall! Jungle Boy has got his first win in AEW!

Result: The Jurassic Express (1-0)

Rating: *** (3 stars)

Nice little match here that was quite fun to watch. Jungle Boy got a much needed win against an established team, as his slow push to the main event begins.
