WWE: Could Nia Jax return at WrestleMania instead of Royal Rumble?
We have heard plenty of rumblings about a Nia Jax in-ring return coming at the Royal Rumble, but a new report suggests that a return is most likely for WWE WrestleMania.
in the latest episode of journalist Tom Colohue’s YouTube series, he spoke in depth about Nia Jax’s potential, nearing WWE return from injury. Last we heard about Nia Jax, not only did we find out that The Irresistible Force had returned to training at the Performance Center after being absent from the ring for nine months due to ACL tears in both of her knees, prime speculation suggested that Jax could be due for a surprise return in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

In a new update from Tom Colohue, he reveals that Jax has more recently been filming backstage material for WWE. “It’s not necessarily commercials. It’s more documentary stuff,” Colohue clarifies. The fact that Jax is filming segments again, in theory, suggests that a return is even more likely for the Royal Rumble, but Colohue says otherwise.
While Colohue says Jax’s return will come “moderately soon,” it’s “probably not as soon as the Royal Rumble.” He also does not think that Jax is unlikely to be found in the build for WrestleMania 36 as her comeback would be overshadowed by the main stars WWE tends to focus on WrestleMania.
If nothing else, Colohue speculates that Jax is most likely to make her surprise return not in the build for Mania, but at WrestleMania in the Annual WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal. He thinks seeing Jax dominate and potentially win the match would make for a splendid return spot for her.
