#2. John Cena

The 16 time World Champion John Cena would be an astounding surprise opponent for Lesnar, as not only would it prove to be a heavy-hitting match up, but it would also be the perfect way to introduce Cena back into WWE.

The last time that Cena made an impact in the WWE ring was basically an entire year ago, in January 2019, during a fatal four-way match against Finn Balor (who picked up the victory), Drew McIntyre, and Baron Corbin.

After an entire year off, it’s time for John Cena to return to the WWE and reviving the rivalry between Cena and Lesnar is an excellent way to bring Cena back.

Lesnar and Cena have crossed paths on numerous occasions, like back in 2012 during Extreme Rules, with Cena picking up a victory and again in 2015 during a Triple Threat match at the Royal Rumble.

While the WWE probably won’t reference these ancient feuds once this new storyline comes out, these matches provide John Cena with insight into what he will need to do to beat Brock Lesnar in order to be victorious in his conquest for the WWE title.

Cena is a top-tier competitor and he deserves to be a part of an unforgettable storyline. A match against the reigning, defending, undisputed WWE champion would be an impressive match with the 50/50 potential for either man to win.

It is no secret that John Cena has a future legend written all over him (and so does Brock Lesnar), so why not create a match that will be history-making, and bring back a crowd favorite in the process?
