Lana

Okay, I’ll admit, this one might be a little disappointing and maybe event a little controversial, but here me out for a second.

First off, I just think it’d make for a nice call back of sorts to last year’s Rumble where Lana was not quite the final entrant, she would have been #28 if she could have hobbled to the ring before her spot was taken from her by The Man.

Of course, I understand that a cute callback may not entirely justify awarding the most buzzed about entrant number to the centerpiece of WWE’s most polarizing storyline, but again, hear me out.

It is usually always a bummer when the #30 entrant ends up being a disappointing grab (i.e. Dolph Ziggler getting #30 in 2018, only to get dumped unceremoniously two minutes later), but it does not have to be entirely a bummer. At least, it can be a bummer with the right purpose.

It is not hard to imagine how loud the boos (or the sighs, depending on who you are and how you feel about Lana) will be the moment that the Ravishing Used-to-be-Russian steps out from behind the curtain. But imagine how loud the pop would be when someone tosses her out of the match at the very end, as well as the sigh of relief. Maybe it’d be worth it for that pop alone.
