Bayley vs. Lacey Evans (Non-Title)

Bayley immediately retreats outside the ring and Lacey chases after her. As soon as they hit the ring, Bayley stomps and punches Evans. Whip into the corner, but Evans bounces out for a clothesline, then a hurricanrana, then a dropkick back out the ring before slamming her head into the mat.

Evans springboards into a school boy pin, then a roll up for two kickouts. Bayley rolls Lacey up herself, but the ref catches her feet on the ropes. Bayley whips Evans neck first onto the middle ropes. Then wraps Evans’ body into the ropes while pulling her hair. Pin attempt and a quick kick out before a not-so-quick rest hold (arm wrench).

Evans fights out, but gets elbowed back down immediately for a two count. Evans gets a sneaky roll up for a quick kickout, but Bayley recovers with a knee to the gut. She positions Evans on the apron, but apron is able to springboard back in after a mid-section kick for a comeback spot.

Evans goes for a moonsault, but Bayley prints her feet into Evans’ stomach, sending her to the outside where she drives her knee into Lacey’s face right before the break.

When the commercial’s over, Bayley has Evans in the corner, nailing a series of shoulder blocks before teasing her old self. Favoring her past costs her as Lacey takes the opportunity to sending Bayley head first into the middle turnbuckle. Bayley gets back into this with a Stunner off the apron rope. Two count.

Mounted punches to follow up before hitting a release back suplex for a two count. Another corner shoulder block, then an elbow followed by a diving elbow off the middle rope for a two count.

She tries to follow up with a diving crossbody, but Evans evades it. But can’t evade a flapjack onto the ropes. Bayley runs at Evans, but runs right into a Woman’s Right for the win.

Winner: Lacey Evans

Grade: B

The finish felt a little bit sudden (which I guess was the point, but this felt like this could’ve gone an extra five minutes before such an abrupt ending with no build), but these two displayed some excellent chemistry beforehand. Looking forward to the rematch. Very entertaining match.

Interviewed backstage as to why Sheamus attacked him, Chad Gable says it’s because Sheamus is insecure. He accepted and embraced who he was these last few months. He’s anxious to teach the same lesson to Sheamus.

On cue, Sheamus comes in to joke about Shorty G being too short to even see. He also warns the “fella” to stay in his lane before he has to kick his head off his shoulders again. He even taps his head like a child to boot, which enrages Gable and another brawl ensues.

I hope the refs are getting paid extra after tonight. That’s like the third brawl they had to break up tonight.
