WWE Royal Rumble 2020: 5 possible Women’s Rumble swerves
Sasha Banks wins
More specifically, the swerve is that the favorite to win simply doesn’t win. Names like the aforementioned Rousey and Baszler are the biggest favorites to win so far, but what if WWE surprises us all and someone that no one expects to win ends up winning?
One surprising name would be Sasha Banks. While she’s a hopeful for many fans, not many of us expect it to happen given the momentum she is currently carrying into the match. After all, these last few weeks, she’s been knocked out by Lacey Evans, pinned by Dana Brooke, and no-showed a match with Evans in favor of working on her album.
However, despite the way she has been booked as of late (or, rather, as a result of that booking), Banks could surprise everyone by regaining her momentum instantly with a Royal Rumble win.
There are a lot of people in the Rumble who could surprise anyone. Unexpected names like, say, Liv Morgan or Kairi Sane would be other examples of surprising winners, but the fact that Banks is already rumored to be facing Bayley at WrestleMania this year suggests that Banks may be the most likely of unlikely candidates to win the Women’s Rumble.
