WWE Raw: Results, Highlights, and Grades: January 20, 2020

Viking Raiders (c) vs. Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy [Raw Tag Team Championships]

Seth Rollins will start this match but Buddy Murphy tags himself in and they hug it out. Erik delivers a running knee to Murphy and tags Ivar in for a powerslam onto Murphy. Rollins goes outside the ring to check on Murphy and Authors of Pain climb up onto the apron to distract the Raiders.

Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe run in as backup for Raiders tonight and they pull AOP’s legs from the apron and fight them in the crowd. The show goes to commercial.

Back from commercial, Erik looks for the hot tag to Ivar, but Rollins and Murphy drop Ivar from the apron. Murphy proceeds to deliver a Brainbuster to Erik and Rollins gets tagged in to deliver a Frog Splash for the two-count.

Rollins tags Murphy back in but Erick counters with a knee strike to Murphy’s face. Once again, he looks for a hot tag to Ivar. Ivar is steam rolling with clotheslines and running crossbody splashes. He cartwheels and takes both Rollins and Murphy down.

He tags Erik in for the Viking Experience on Murphy, but Rollins stops them. Viking Raiders toss Murphy and Rollins outside the ring and deliver a double suicide dive to both Murphy and Rollins. They toss Murphy back into the ring and deliver a Viking Experience inside the ring for the two-count once Rollins breaks it up.

Rollins delivers an Enziguiri to Erik but gets tossed out of the ring by Ivar. Murphy catches Ivar in a powerbomb position from the top rope. Murphy struggles to get Ivar off for a powerbomb so Rollins tags into the match and delivers an Enziguiri to Ivar to help Murphy deliver a powerbomb for the two-count after Ivar breaks up the pin.

Erik tags in and tells Ivar to get up the splash onto Murphy, but Rollins pushes Ivar off the top rope and delivers a Curb Stomp to Erik on the apron to allow Murphy to pick up the pinfall and the victory. Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy are the new Raw Tag Team Champions.

Analysis: An illegitimate tag team won the Raw Tag Team Championships when the Authors of Pain are right there. Regardless, it was a good match and Rollins and Murphy worked well together so congrats to them. The Street Profits then have a funny Monday Night After Weekend Update with R-Truth. Matt Hardy then comes out for a match NEXT!
