WWE Royal Rumble 2020 will take place on Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT live on the WWE Network with the kickoff show beginning at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT. The following will discern and explicate five possible #30 surprises that might happen in the Men’s Royal Rumble Matches one week away from a PPV that kickstarts the road to WrestleMania 36.

In professional stock car racing (NASCAR), a racer never wants to be last. However, in professional wrestling (WWE), a wrestler would love to be last in the coveted #30 spot for the propitious Royal Rumble match.

As opposed to other sports, being last in the Royal Rumble should not be considered a detriment. Instead, it should be considered one step closer to main eventing WrestleMania 36, which many of the WWE wrestlers aspire to accomplish.

The WWE fans frequently have extremely high expectations for the #30 spot in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match. Some years, the #30 entrant satisfies or even exceeds their expectations. Other years, the #30 entrant flat-out thwart expectations altogether.

With plenty of rumors spurring of possible surprise returns in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match, the WWE Universe could be in for a treat this year. Clearly, no one wants someone like Dolph Ziggler or Roman Reigns in the #30 spot. They want someone who will elicit a huge pop in the stadium and instantly become a favorite to win the Rumble.

With that being said, the following will identify and explain five possible #30 surprises in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match, starting with R-Truth and his patriotic hero.
