1.) CM Punk

‘Seth Rollins is not good at being a good guy.’ ‘Seth Rollins should stop tweeting.’ These sound bites were directly orated by CM Punk on two different weeks of WWE Backstage. It is clear that he is taking shots at his future opponent at WWE WrestleMania 36.

However, it takes two to tango because Seth Rollins has been taking some gimmicks from CM Punk’s playbook. Not only does he call himself the best wrestler on the planet but he also calls himself the Monday Night Messiah, which is very similar to CM Punk’s Christ-like gimmick as the Second City Saint back when he was the leader of the Straight Edge Society in 2009-2010.

Indeed, Punk held a Holy Trinity with his disciples, Luke Gallows and Selena, to lead a crusade and convert everyone into the Straight Edge lifestyle by shaving their heads. Every week, he made the WWE Universe pledge allegiance to the Straight Edge Society (in assimilation to the pledge of allegiance to the United States of America) and proclaimed villainously that he was the role model and leader the world needed. Sounds familiar?

Although Rollins did not attempt to fill any voids by dissuading anyone to drink, smoke, or do drugs like Punk did, he has been proclaiming his leadership and recruiting disciples (i.e. Buddy Murphy and Authors of Pain) to help him lead Monday Night Raw. Clearly, Mr. Cross Fit Jesus is trying to be CM Punk and a match between them in the main event of WrestleMania 36 could squash all beef and settle all scores. Amen.
