Liv Morgan and Lana are in the midst of a heated rivalry on Monday Night Raw, and they furthered that feud during the WWE Royal Rumble Pay Per View.

Lana entered the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble match as the fifth competitor after Alexa Bliss, Bianca Belair, Mighty Molly Holly, and Nikki Cross started the match in that order.

She came out with her mic in hand – because of course she did – and started cutting a promo on Minute Maid Park before entering the Rumble.

And it didn’t take long for her to be eliminated.

Because the second competitor after Lana was Liv Morgan, who is her kayfabe ex-partner and her current rival on Monday Night Raw.

Liv ran into the ring with a determined look on her face and immediately eliminated Lana, who was put on the apron over the top rope by the No. 6 entrant – new signing Mercedes Martinez.

But Liv didn’t get to celebrate for long. Right after she ended Lana’s far-fetched dream of main eventing WrestleMania 36, Lana played the role of the sore loser and eliminated Liv.

Neither woman had much of a chance of winning the 2020 Royal Rumble, so their dual eliminations and brief brawl serve to benefit them in the form of furthering their rivalry on Raw. Vince McMahon and Paul Heyman are using this storyline for shock value, and wrestlers like Rusev, Lana, Liv, and Bobby Lashley are doing whatever they can to increase their profiles.

On Monday, Liv and Lana will go head to head in a singles match on Raw, which will hopefully get some time and be an excellent first match in a rivalry that will likely last until WrestleMania in April.

Although fans would have wanted Liv, who has become a favorite of the WWE Universe, to have a longer run inside the Royal Rumble match, they’ll surely want her to come out on top in a singles match against Lana.
