Bayley (c) vs. Lacey Evans [SmackDown Women’s Championship]
Bayley and Lacey Evans start off the match with some ground based offense. Bayley fakes an ankle injury and delivers a flying elbow drop for the two-count. She delivers a snap suplex and takes early control of the match. The match drags along.
Lacey Evans attempts to rally back but Bayley tosses Evans into the barricade wall. Bayley attempts the Bayley to Belly inside the ring but Evans counters with a neckbreaker and a standing moonsault. She salutes on the top rope and attempts the moonsault, but Bayley counters with her knees and picks up the quick pinfall for the three-count and the victory.
Result: Bayley
Grade: 2.5/5.0 Stars
Analysis: This match was a severe downgrade from their match on Friday Night SmackDown but the ending was a good heel win for Bayley and she continues to be one of the best SmackDown Women’s Champions in WWE history. Up Next: Bray Wyatt vs. Daniel Bryan for the Universal Championship!
Bray Wyatt (c) vs. Daniel Bryan [Universal Championship: Strap Match]
Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan are tied together by the strap. Wyatt gains early control with a powerbomb but Bryan rallies back with a suicide dive. Bryan attempts to continue his rally outside the ring, but Wyatt whips him with the strap, leaving marks on his body.
Daniel Bryan rallies back with a swift kick and a Running Knee for the two-count. He goes on the top rope and delivers a flying crossbody to Wyatt outside the ring and pulls the strap to smash Wyatt’s face into the steel post.
Wyatt rallies back with a Lariat outside the ring. Bryan rallies back with two low blows and a DDT onto the announce table.. Back in the ring, Bryan delivers a Missile Dropkick to Wyatt and a kip up. Bryan delivers brutal Yes Kicks and straps to Wyatt.
Bryan signals the crowd for the Yes Chants as he gets ready for the Running Knee but he runs into Wyatt’s Sister Abigail for the very close two-count. That was such a beautiful counter. Wyatt attempts the Manndible Claw on Bryan but Bryan counters with an Arm Bar at the corner turnbuckle. However, it is not enough as Wyatt takes Bryan down with the Manndible Claw.
Bryan counters the Fiend with the Yes Lock but Wyatt counters with a flurry of punches to Bryan. Bryan rallies back with a Running Knee for a very close two-count. Bryan can’t believe it but he straps Wyatt to fight his very last breath but Wyatt delivers a Manndible Claw STO for the pinfall and the victory.
Result: Bray Wyatt
Grade: 4.0/5.0 Stars
Analysis: Match of the night so far and the best Bray Wyatt Universal Championship match so far. Maybe the lack of red lights helped with that. Great way to end the rivalry and great selling by Bryan after the match.
