WWE: Watch out, because Goldberg really might win the Universal Title
Yep, you read that right. Take a good long look at Bray Wyatt with his WWE Universal Championship while you can, because Goldberg might win it.
Remember Fastlane 2017? You know, the PPV when Kevin Owens’ six month reign with the WWE Universal Championship came to an abrupt end in 22 seconds at the hands of Goldberg?
Yeah, well, it looks like WWE are looking to pull a repeat this year in Saudi Arabia.
As WWE revealed during last night’s episode of Raw, Goldberg is coming back to television this Friday for an episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Most likely to announce his participation at Saudi Arabian Blood Mone- *cough cough.* Pardon me, I meant to say Super ShowDown.

But who could he be coming back to wrestle at Super ShowDown? Could it be for a rematch against Dolph Ziggler who he Speared to death (it was just a flesh wound, to be fair) at SummerSlam? Maybe give us a dream match against Roman Reigns, or mark King Corbin down on his “Next” list?
Nope, nope, and nope. According to a report from 411Mania, the current plan, indeed, is for Goldberg to have a match at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia, but I don’t think everyone is going to be happy with his opponent – it’s The Fiend.
Yes, The Fiend. The same Fiend who has been undefeated since making his debut (well, character debut) in August. The same Fiend who happens to be the Universal Championship. Meaning – you guessed it – another title match is in Goldberg’s future. Which probably means another title is in Goldberg’s future.
As much as so many of us would hate to even think that a semi-retired man in his 50s ends up upsetting Bray Wyatt’s undefeated streak and unseats him for his title this close to Mania, but again, that fateful Fastlane night was just under three years ago. There’s a precedent there.
WWE have pulled a move like this before. Don’t be surprised if they do it again.
