WWE WrestleMania 37: Way Way Too Early Full Card Prediction
Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championship Unification Triple Threat Match: Raw Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler (c) vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Becky Lynch
The second unification match on this massive card would be, in many ways, what the main event of WrestleMania 35 was supposed to be. For all her mainstream appeal, Ronda Rousey’s WWE tenure wasn’t quite as amazing as many had hoped. It certainly wasn’t bad, but Rousey hasn’t been seen since losing in the main event of WrestleMania 35.
It’s unclear if she’ll ever return to the squared circle, or in what capacity or frequency, but this potential WrestleMania main event could absolutely outshine Becky Lynch’s crowning “Becky 2 Belts” moment, essentially by getting things even more right than they were last year. Shayna Baszler has set her sights on The Man at WrestleMania 36, and that’s a match I fully expect The Queen of Spades to walk out of as Raw Women’s Champion.
Meanwhile, Charlotte Flair could find herself drafted back to SmackDown, where The Queen would stop at nothing to recapture the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Meanwhile, “The Man” could spend months trying to find her place in a division that seems to be moving on from her epic run.
That’s when we’d see Becky Lynch force her way into the conversation once again, becoming the first-ever two-time winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble. Up against the woman that dethroned her and her most iconic rival, The Man would be backed into a corner once again only to emerge from WrestleMania 37 as a two-time “Becky 2 Belts.”
Prediction: Becky Lynch is the new WWE Women’s Champion
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Unification Match: Universal Champion Roman Reigns (c) vs. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar (c)
In what would be the night’s official main event, deserving or not, is perhaps the match that will frustrate readers more than any. Trust me, this isn’t necessarily my “first pick” for the main event of WrestleMania 37, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t going to happen.
If Vince McMahon does indeed nix the brand split, we would likely see the lengthy rivalry between The Big Dog and The Beast add yet another chapter. With the Men’s Royal Rumble Winner (Johnny Gargano, I hope) challenging for the NXT Championship, it would leave things free to crown a unified, reigning, defending, undisputed, heavyweight champion of the world: Roman Reigns.
This won’t just be Roman Reigns defeating Brock Lesnar again. It won’t just be Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania gain. It’ll be Roman Reigns finally removing “The Beast Incarnate” from the championship scene for good. I have absolutely zero doubt that, should this match come to fruition, The Big Dog will vanquish The Beast and leave WrestleMania 37 as the undisputed WWE Champion.
Prediction: Roman Reigns is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion
