WWE: 5 wrestlers who could beat Andrade for the US Title
There are rumblings that Andrade will lose the United States Championship before WrestleMania 36, so here are five WWE Raw superstars who could defeat La Sombra.
WWE recently suspended Andrade, among others including Robert Roode, for 30 days due to a Wellness Policy violation. Prior to the recent rash of suspensions, the company hadn’t suspended wrestlers for Wellness Policy violations in years, and some fans were wondering if this would become a more frequent occurrence.
That hasn’t materialized yet, but Andrade has been missed on WWE Raw due to his suspension. As the United States Champion, he’s been a huge part of Paul Heyman‘s show, and Brock Lesnar‘s Advocate is indeed high on La Sombra, who has received praise from legends as a future top star in the company.
Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso was told by his contacts in the company that Andrade’s “days are numbered” as United States Champion.
Andrade is expected to drop the title, which he has made feel more prestigious than it ever has in years, before WrestleMania 36. With Zelina Vega’s newest client Angel Garza, his cousin Humberto Carrillo, and Rey Mysterio (the man Andrade first beat for the title at Madison Square Garden) gunning for the championship, there are no shortage of contenders.
Here are five men who could win the US Title before WrestleMania. Note that Andrade’s suspension ends on Feb. 27, which is the same date as Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia.
