WWE: 5 wrestlers who could beat Andrade for the US Title
Humberto Carrillo
Humberto Carrillo would make the most sense as the man to eventually conquer Andrade, given how much El Idolo has done to make the man’s life miserable. The two have feuded for several weeks, trading wins in the process.
Although Andrade is probably higher on Heyman’s list of priorities and will likely hold a world title before the year 2021 ends, Carrillo is definitely a wrestler Heyman seems to be high on, too. Both men have gotten over as a result of their program over the United States Championship, which has allowed Carrillo to show more aggression in addition to his charisma.
Carrillo has all the tools to be one of WWE’s big stars in the upper mid-card this year, and his current rivalry with Angel Garza has show-stealing potential if it bleeds into the Elimination Chamber Pay Per View.
Honestly, Carrillo vs. Garza would be a money feud for the United States Championship, and Carrillo could be a great babyface champion for Garza, who is fresh off losing the NXT Cruiserweight Championship to NXT UK’s newest crossover star Jordan Devlin.
WWE could book Carrillo to win the title shortly after Andrade comes back, though doing so on his first return episode may not be wise. Carrillo would get a bigger pop if the win is more of a surprise, and if it doesn’t “spoil” El Idolo’s return from suspension.
