8. Randy Orton: RKO

I can see some fans getting upset that Randy Orton’s finisher is ranked outside of the top five, since there are plenty of people who believe it should be No. 1. After all, it’s aesthetically pleasing, often happens “out of nowhere”, has seeped into the mainstream, and has been involved in some of WWE’s best counters over the past 20 years.

But the novelty of the RKO has worn off slightly. We haven’t seen as many truly memorable RKOs in recent years, and with more daring and creative finishers entering the promotion as a result of all the new talent, the RKO isn’t quite as interesting.

It’s still a great finisher and a classic, no doubt. However, it’s not as impressive, powerful, or difficult as some of the other finishers in WWE today.

7. Bianca Belair: KOD

This is the better finisher with a three-letter acronym. Bianca Belair’s wonderfully-named “Kiss of Death” finisher, which is a nod to her “lips” logo, is one of WWE’s best. We don’t praise it nearly enough, because it encapsulates a lot of what we love about Belair in the ring in one move.

Belair is one of the strongest wrestlers in WWE, and there’s nothing quite like watching her pick off an opponent straight onto her back. She lays them on her shoulders with absolute security and throws them facefirst into the canvas. It is a jaw-dropping finishing maneuver that, like Dream’s elbow drop, will one day be one of WWE’s most awe-inspiring finishes when she reaches true superstardom.
