The Fallen Angel has had a rough go of it so far in his All Elite Wrestling career. With a total record of 3-2, he is 0-1 in singles competition and 0-1 in traditional tag matches. His only wins have come as part of a trio where he has not been involved in the decision.

He seemed to be a perfect recruit for the Dark Order. A struggling performer who is not living up to his full potential. Someone whose skill and ability in the ring have led them to have career-defining matches in almost every promotion that he has worked. Until now.

He seems to be just a step behind the new standard of wrestling set by his SCU brothers and to a larger extent AEW as a whole.  While Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky are establishing themselves not only as the first AEW Tag Team Champions but also legitimate singles competitors with title aspirations. His star might be fading.

That can weigh on a person. Feeling yourself slip from a main event tour de force to a comedic bit player on a younger more talented performer’s YouTube show.

It may weigh on you so much, in fact, that you opt to bring in a ringer or a team of ringers, in this case, to lay waste to all those who consider themselves your friends and your peers. You may keep it to yourself plotting and preparing for your moment to strike. Your best opportunity to recapture the glory that may have passed you by.
