3. Bobby Lashley

Let us take a second to wind the clocks back to another previous WrestleMania. This time, let’s talk about WrestleMania 23. A show that hailed from Detroit, Michigan, where Bobby Lashley (the ECW Champion at the time) wrestled Umaga in a match that is super weird in retrospect keeping in mind who they represented on opposite sides of the ring, while Undertaker had a show stealer with Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Of course, Taker earned his shot after winning the Royal Rumble, but prior to Mania, he took a trip to every Mania show to staredown the potential champion he’d face before making a decision on who to face.

He stared down WWE Champion John Cena – he got spooked – on Raw and then Lashley – he also got spooked – on ECW. Batista was not so spooked on SmackDown, so Taker picked the guy who showed no fear.

However, even though I’m probably the only person who even remembers these kinds of interactions, the Lashley vs. Undertaker staredown always intrigued me and that was a match I always wanted to see. Hell, I still want to see it.

With Mania around the corner again, it is not too late.
