2.) Sasha Banks Becomes #1 Contender for Bayley’s SmackDown Women’s Championship

Since returning to in-ring action and transforming her hair color, the trailblazer, Sasha Banks, has been on a PPV losing streak. Other than winning inconclusively by disqualification in a Raw Women’s Championship match against Becky Lynch at WWE Clash of Champions 2019, she lost her matches in the three PPVs afterwards:

(1) WWE Hell in a Cell 2019: She lost to Becky Lynch in a Raw Women’s Championship match inside Hell in a Cell.

(2) WWE Survivor Series 2019: She lost to Rhea Ripley in the Women’s Survivor Series Match.

(3) WWE Starrcade 2019: She and Bayley lost to Kabuki Warriors in a Fatal Four Way Women’s Tag Team Championship match.

Although all of these matches were riveting and show-stealing as expected, it is crystal clear that Banks’ stock is dropping in the eyes of the common viewers. It is becoming more and more difficult to believe in Banks to win in high-stake situations.

As Lacey Evans indicated in her sit-down interview with Renee Young, there will be an Elimination Chamber match to determine the number one contender for Bayley’s SmackDown Women’s Championship at WWE WrestleMania 36. Hopefully, Sasha Banks partakes in this match at WWE Elimination Chamber 2020 and wins it to become Bayley’s ultimate opponent and potentially spur a Boss N’Hug Disconnection on the grandest stage of them all because that would not only be the best business decision but also be the most interesting booking decision for the WWE Universe.
