The Young Bucks Lose

AEW doesn’t look like the type of organisation who likes to constantly see titles change hands from one month to the next. Choosing instead to build their champions up in order to provide fans with a better payoff in the long-run.

How devilishly clever of them.

Unfortunately, this means The Young Bucks will be unable to capture the AEW tag team titles at ‘Revolution’ with AEW choosing instead to put the snake-skin straps on their EVPs at ‘Double or Nothing’ and milk this Hangman heel turn a little longer.

Again, better payoff.

While we’d ideally have a clean finish to what will very likely be the best match on the card, it’s difficult to envision keeping the Bucks in the title picture without some sort of controversy involving the outcome.

The Bucks would then either lobby for a rematch clause or win a tag-team tournament ahead of ‘Double or Nothing’ where they could ultimately challenge for the tag titles again.

Hangman Hangs Tight

We’ve seen ‘Hangman’ Adam Page whoop some ass and drink a whole lot of whiskey and beer in the process. We’ve also witnessed what his newfound love for his seemingly constant state of inebriation has done to his relationship with the other members of The Elite.

We covered the Hangman saga ad nauseam in last week’s prediction piece for Omega and Page’s opponents at ‘Revolution’ but we will say one last thing.

Adam Page does not turn on Kenny Omega–and his Elite friends’ at ‘Revolution’.

Sure, he’ll throw all reservations aside and open up a can of whoop-ass on Matt and Nick with reckless abandon and more than likely lariat them into oblivion. He might even get in Omega’s face due to Kenny taking it easy on the Bucks.

But one thing is for sure, Hangman will not turn on his partner just yet. The stakes aren’t high enough for him to do so. It’ll happen eventually, when Kenny screws up and costs his coveted tag title.
