Now that Lance Archer is officially a member of the AEW roster, the question now is who could he face? There is a plethora of dream matches just waiting for him.

In some late breaking news, AEW’s official Twitter account has announced the huge signing of Lance Archer.

Archer, for those unaware, is best known for his run in New Japan Pro Wrestling as a member of Suzuki-Gun (one of the promotion’s top heel stables) and a former IWGP United States Champion. In fact, one of his last matches in NJPW this year came in losing his title to All Elite Wrestling’s own Jon Moxley at Wrestle Kingdom in a Texas Death Match.

Some readers may also recognize him for his brief run in WWE as Vance Archer (often tagging with Curt Hawkins prior to his release) and his time in Impact Wrestling, perhaps most notably as a member of the Rock ‘n’ Rave Infection as Lance Hoyt/Rock.

This announcement confirms prior rumors that AEW had their minds set on signing The Murder Hawk Monster. Now that the rumors are correct, we have to wonder which dream matches he could fulfill and who he’ll be taken down first on his “Everybody Dies!” tour. Here are some possible matches we could see from him soon.

Luchasaurus

This is purely just a fetish on my part. No, not in a weird way, but in the “I’m a big fan of two big, giant, greasy men duking it out” kind of way. That’s my kind of fetish. I think Big E said it best when he pontificated his love for two big men “bumping meat.”

Luchasaurus – at 6’5 and 233lbs – is AEW’s most deceptively agile big men. Archer – at 6’8 and 265lbs – is the classic powerhouse. Don’t tell me it wouldn’t be fun seeing these two sluggers slugging it out.
