AEW: 5 potential opponents for Lance Archer in All Elite Wrestling

To say Cody just might be the best babyface in all of wrestling would be a major understatement. Clearly, whatever got passed down in his genes from the Son of a Plumber got passed down magnificently, because Cody’s promo ability and in-ring selling as a hero is just as good (arguably, in some ways better) than his old man, Dusty.

The biggest test of Cody’s skills as a face has come in feuding with MJF since AEW’s last Pay-Per-View, Full Gear. Sure, it helps that Mr. Friedman just so happens to be really strong at playing a heel character, but a villain is only as good as the hero they are fighting against and vice versa. The reason why so many of us hate MJF is because we have grown to love Cody that much.

That love has helped mold a new top bad guy in MJF and it could also be used to mold a new overall Elite superstar in Lance Archer. Just imagine how invested we’d be in a feud between these two once we watch The American Psycho just batter The American Nightmare like he’s yesterday’s news. This hulking mass of a man decimating our favorite hero.

Instant heel heat on Archer and, voila! A star is born!
