Chris Jericho

It is almost awe inspiring to think that Chris Jericho is not only a World Heavyweight Champion at 49 years old, but at this age is having some of the best matches and moments of his entire career. He may even be better at what he does now than he was, say, 10-20 years ago. That’s impressive.

At that skill level, he could still have a whopper of a match with a young, incoming and upcoming guy like Lance Archer. Even better (assuming this could be one of Archer’s first feuds in the company), the former United States Champion could immediately solidify himself as a top act among the roster by having one of his first feuds and matches against the top champ himself.

Some readers may be struggling to digest the idea of this feud since both men are heels and it would be hard to imagine either working as a babyface right now. However, most members of the AEW roster seem to work closer towards tweener, multi-faceted characters, so a heel vs. face angle isn’t quite necessary here.

Regardless of who works as a heel or who works on a face, we’ll surely get a slobberknocker contest either way.
