3) Hangman Page’s Turn is Coming

Every single week, Hangman Page’s tension with the Elite has increased. This has been a very long term story for them in AEW, being teased and built since before AEW All Out.

My friend, Sonal Lad, and I put together an article tracing the story of Hangman with the Elite back to his days in ROH, and it has since advanced more. In an absolutely exceptional TV segment, we saw Jim Ross sit down with Hangman Page, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks.

Ross asked some excellent questions and helped drive the story home to us, the viewers. Simply said, The Young Bucks believe they are the best tag team in the world, and it is eating them alive that Hangman and Kenny won the titles before they did.

Omega talked about how the Bucks were the best tag team in the world, but he and Hangman were able to come together organically and become a good team.

Hangman was clearly annoyed at all of this, and Jim Ross pointed out how uncomfortable he was. Hangman was more and more visibly upset, to the point of where he exploded and tore the Bucks a new one. He wasn’t happy with Kenny either, and the slow burn of his turn is starting to heat up. When will it happen? We don’t know exactly.

It’s entirely possible that Hangman and Kenny defend the titles successfully at Revolution, but it’s also possible that Hangman turns on Kenny and leaves him hanging. All I know is that when it finally happens, Kenny and Hangman will tear the house down and both will be elevated to an even higher position in the main event.
