WWE NXT TakeOver Tampa 2020 Predictions: Velveteen Dream Becomes Champion

Keith Lee (c) vs. Damien Priest vs. Cameron Grimes vs. Dominik Dijakovic [NXT North American Championship]
Keith Lee is scheduled to defend his NXT North American Championship against Cameron Grimes next week on NXT. There’s no doubt that Keith Lee should walk in and out of NXT next week the NXT North American Champion, but this match could end in a double disqualification to elicit a fatal four way at NXT TakeOver: Tampa.
With Damian Priest costing Dominik Dijakovic a match against Cameron Grimes last week on NXT to avenge his loss to him in January, it is evident that all three superstars are targeting Lee’s NXT North American Championship. Since Dijakovic already battled Lee one-on-one at NXT TakeOver: Portland and Cameron Grimes will be battling Lee one-on-one next week on NXT, there’s no need to see any of these superstars go one-on-one with Lee.
The case can be made for Priest to go one-on-one with Lee but he already lost to Dijakovic last month and is not necessarily a more formidable challenger than Dijakovic to even warrant such a one-on-one contest. Since none of the three superstars are worthy enough to dethrone Lee just yet and Lee is still a fan favorite, it would be best for business to include all of them in a fatal four way and book Lee to retain the championship while the WWE Universe basks in his glory.
Prediction: Keith Lee
