WWE NXT TakeOver Tampa 2020 Predictions: Velveteen Dream Becomes Champion

Since the powerful NXT UK faction Imperium attacked Finn Balor on NXT last week, it looks like Finn Balor will be battling Walter for the NXT UK Championship sooner than the WWE Universe thinks. Considering that Balor has been on such a roll lately by defeating Matt Riddle at WWE NXT TakeOver: War Games and massacring Johnny Gargano at WWE NXT TakeOver: Portland, he should continue his momentum and solidify his rejuvenated return to NXT by defeating Walter to become the new WWE NXT UK Champion.

Although Walter was a great WWE NXT UK Champion, his momentum was shattered during the build to WWE Survivor Series 2019. His relevancy in the brand war was so minimal to the point that he was, in fact, the first superstar eliminated in the Men’s Survivor Series Match.

Thanks to Walter’s lack of momentum and Finn Balor’s rising momentum, Balor is the safe bet to dethrone Walter. This championship eluded Balor’s WWE NXT career and it would be a major addition to his resume in 2020 (even though it will never replace the Universal Championship he never lost as a member of the Monday Night Raw roster from 2017 to 2019).
