Darby Allin

Speaking of Moxley, he was slated to team with rising star Darby Allin against Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara in Dynamite’s main event, but Moxley – who Jericho vowed to ensure wouldn’t leave the 1stBank Center under his own power lest Jericho take a 60-day leave of absence – was attacked during his traditional entrance through the crowd by Santana, Ortiz, and Jake Hager.

The ambush left the Moxley incapacitated and forced the Seattle native to fend for himself against Jericho and Guevara.

Fortunately, Allin brought that fire in what became a 2-on-1 handicap match. The 27-year-old spent the entirety of the contest fighting off Jericho and Guevara for more than 14 minutes, even getting some convincing nearfalls in, before succumbing to Jericho’s Judas Effect elbow, leading to Guevara getting his win back from Revolution.

Even though he ate the pin, Allin once again showed why so many fans and journalists see him as a future superstar in AEW; even though this match was primarily booked to get Jericho’s heat back, the fans hung on every move Allin inflicted to the point where you thought he could pull off the improbable.

Sure, he lost, but it took two men and Jericho hitting his well-protected finisher to get the job done, so Allin still gained a lot from his valiance while hanging with two credible heels.
