WWE Elimination Chamber 2020: Get ready for Daniel Bryan, Drew Gulak to steal the show
WWE Elimination Chamber 2020 will feature two star-studded chamber matches and a No Disqualification bout between AJ Styles and Aleister Black, but Daniel Bryan vs. Drew Gulak is the real match to watch.
Although Daniel Bryan is a wrestler who is a part of Friday Night SmackDown every week, the legendary grappler also has quite the eye for talent. Lately, he’s been trying to get the Blue Brand to put more of a focus on what Curtis Axel and Drew Gulak can do in the ring, and it’s resulted in an exciting matchup between Bryan and Gulak at WWE Elimination Chamber 2020.
While Bryan enters the match as the heavy favorite to win, considering he’s a multiple-time champion in WWE whereas Gulak has only won the Cruiserweight Championship, Gulak stands a valid chance at pulling off an upset.
In a backstage promo, Bryan challenged Gulak to a match in Philadelphia at the Elimination Chamber Pay Per View after overhearing Gulak, who was Axel’s in-ring coach, describe all of Bryan’s weaknesses.

Bryan interrupted Gulak before the former PowerPoint presenter could go into depth about the WrestleMania 30 hero’s vulnerabilities during the Roundhouse Kick.
The level of in-ring storytelling between Gulak and Bryan will be off-the-charts on Sunday night.
Both men will have a point to prove on a loaded card that features two chamber matches, but because none of the main titles are on the line this Sunday, they stand a great chance of stealing the show at the Wells Fargo Center.
Gulak became a fan favorite on 205 Live when he portrayed a quirky character, but he was also adored for his in-ring technique.
The man hated high-fliers and found every opponent’s weakness, exploiting them to perfection during his solid championship reign.
But Bryan is a different beast. He’s the best technician we’ve seen in WWE since Bret Hart, and the argument can be made that he’s an even better technical wrestler than Shawn Michaels’ former rival.
Although Gulak probably won’t beat Bryan, we’ve seen the likes of Mustafa Ali come from 205 and push The Planet’s Champion to his limit. Gulak might not pull off the rare hometown upset victory in WWE, but he could make a name for himself at WWE Elimination Chamber 2020 with a sensational performance in a get-over match that tears down the house.
So whether Bryan vs. Gulak is on the main card or the pre-show, be sure to give it a watch either on Sunday night or on the morning after. Because these two technicians are about to put on a clinic and tell a wonderful story while doing so. And who knows? Maybe Gulak does put himself on the map on SmackDown with a major PPV upset.
