WWE Raw: 3 wrestlers for Stone Cold to interact with on 3/16 Day

Another beloved babyface who has benefited from paying homage to Stone Cold Steve Austin in some way, Kevin Owens is also headed for a major WrestleMania match. No, Owens isn’t in the title picture, but his rivalry with Seth Rollins has been one of Raw’s biggest stories over the past couple of months, beginning with the team’s loss at Survivor Series.

Rollins’ lack of accountability in the aftermath of the match was spotted by Owens, who didn’t buy any of the former Authority poster child’s half-hearted apologies. With a backstage attack, heel turn, and alignment with the Authors of Pain, Rollins has since shown his true colors. And his devolution into madness can be traced back to him losing the Universal Championship to The Fiend on Halloween in Saudi Arabia.

Owens uses the Stunner and is the definition of an everyman babyface. Alongside Lynch, he has plenty of character traits comparable to Austin, and maybe Austin can help Owens get more of a mental edge in his rivalry with Rollins.

The feud with Rollins should come to a head at WrestleMania, and it will be interesting to see how the other moving pieces fit in. Whereas the AoP and Buddy Murphy have joined forces with Rollins, Owens has received help from Samoa Joe and The Viking Raiders. But with Joe out, perhaps Stone Cold could give KO a welcome assist this week against the so-called “Monday Night Messiah”.
