Andrade (c) vs. Humberto Carillo [United States Championship]

Result: Andrade (via pinfall)

Grade: C+

Andrade gains early control in the match with a swift back elbow but Carillo rallies back with clotheslines, flying crossbodies, and arm drags early on in the match. Andrade attempts to gain back control in the match, but Carillo makes a babyface comeback with a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker and Enziguiri.

After countering Andrade’s double knees in the corner, Carillo gets Andrade onto the top rope to deliver a Super Hurricanrana. Carillo attempts his picture perfect Moonsault, but Andrade counters it into a Double Knees at the corner turnbuckle.

Zelina Vega gets angry and decides to drape the mat outside the ring so that Andrade can Hammerlock DDT Carillo on the concrete pavement. However, Carillo counters it into a Hip Toss and delivers a Tope Con Hilo to Andrade before sending Andrade back into the ring.

Carillo delivers a flying crossbody to Andrade. However, Andrade counters all of Carillo’s final maneuvers into a roll up pinfall with a grasp of the tights to win the match and retain the United States Championship nefariously.

Analysis: This match ended as it should for a heel champion: a nefarious victory. However, this match did not really add anything the WWE Universe has not seen before. The concrete pavement spot was rightfully teased, but the match could have had more foretelling spots. Nonetheless, the match was decent enough for a mid card championship rivalry.
