Inserts Himself Into WrestleMania

Due to the nature and spread of COVID-19, the status of WrestleMania 36 (as of this writing at least) remains up in the air. Which is wild, considering that this show is in two weeks and no one knows if it’ll be postponed yet, but for the sake of practicality, let us assume for now that the show will go on.

What if Stone Cold makes his way to the ring tonight to ensure his own status for the show? After all, the past few years has seen him show up to Mania in different capacities, usually as a special guest ref or enforcer. Perhaps he could insert himself into AJ Styles vs. Undertaker as a special enforcer to keep The OC from interfering.

Or, piggybacking off the last slide and off an idea from my colleague Mark Justice, Austin could announce Rollins vs. Owens as an official Mania match, but in the process, dub himself the special enforcer or referee to keep out Rollins’ buddies. Or maybe he could take things one step further and announce himself as the host of WrestleMania.

It’d be weirdly presumptuous for WWE to make such a bold announcement when Mania could be moments away from being postponed or cancelled, but hey, anything can happen in the weird and wacky world of pro wrestling.
