WWE: 25 of the best moments in WrestleMania history

4. “I Love You, I’m Sorry” – WM 24
You know it’s a good one, when it hits all the feels. Shawn Michaels didn’t want to end Ric Flair’s career, but he also knew that giving him a free pass wasn’t an option.
While fans couldn’t hear him say, “I love you, I’m sorry” (before Superkicking the wrestling legend and thus defeating him, ending his in-ring career for the time being), fans could feel it (and read his lips, of course). Some still get emotional when watching this match on the WWE Network.
3. YesleMania – WM 30
Daniel Bryan’s YES! Movement was on point in 2013, and with the fans behind him, he managed to work his way up from mid-carder, to main eventing WrestleMania, despite the fact that WWE officials had other plans. Nothing beats that feeling of seeing Bryan at the end of WM 30, covered in confetti, with an entire Superdome chanting “Yes, Yes, YES!”.
2. The Women Main Event – WM 35
After decades of being thought of as time fillers, eye candy, and simply playing supporting roles in the WWE, thanks women’s wrestling movement – and all superstars past and present that worked hard to change the way females were viewed in sports entertainment – to an enormous leap in 2019.
What many people thought would never happen had actually, finally happened at WrestleMania 35, where three women took center stage and closed the Grandest Stage of Them All.
1. Hulk Hogan Slams Andre the Giant – WM 3
After all these decades, Hulk Hogan slamming Andre the Giant still tops many best moments lists. Is it because of its nostalgia? The incredible and flawless buildup leading up to this match? Or simply because the underdog babyface of this program was truly able to come out on top in end?
It’s hard to even put into words why HH slamming Andre is such an iconic moment within WrestleMania’s history.
