2. Nia Jax

The history between Nia Jax and Becky Lynch goes all the way back to Survivor Series. No, I’m not talking about the build to Survivor Series 2018. Instead, step back two more years to Survivor Series 2016. On that night, she represented Team Raw along with Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Alicia Fox, and Sasha Banks. Team SmackDown included Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Carmella, Naomi, and Natalya. Then-SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch led her team, and ultimately it was Lynch who made Nia Jax tap out and eliminated her.

Two years later, their paths crossed again and it was Jax who left the impact. During a brawl on the November 12, 2018 episode of WWE Raw, a stray punch from Nia Jax gave Becky Lynch a legitimate concussion and broken nose. Lynch continued to fight, despite a significant amount of blood from her nose. It was a moment that helped create the myth of “The Man” Becky Lynch, as Lynch was unable to face Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series due to the injury and ultimately remedied that by defeating Rousey in the main event of WrestleMania 35.

While Jax and Lynch have crossed paths a few times since then, they haven’t had the kind of singles collision that would settle anything between the two. On top of that, Nia Jax had to get surgery on the ACL of both of her knees in April of 2019 and has been out of action since then.

It’s not clear exactly when Jax will be ready to return, but there would be more appropriate target than reigning Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. On top of that, Jax generated legitimate heat with some fans for unintentionally injuring Lynch in 2018. If she were to dethrone the beloved champion, it would make Nia Jax an instantaneous monster heel at the top of the Raw women’s division.
