WWE: 5 superstars who could beat Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship
5. Bianca Belair
The final option, and perhaps the perfect choice, is “The EST of NXT” Bianca Belair. Making her first big impact by competing in the 2017 Mae Young Classic, Bianca Belair has quickly become one of the most consistent members of the NXT women’s division despite only entering the wrestling industry in mid-2016.
In early 2018, Bianca Belair started an impressive singles undefeated streak that went unbroken until January 26, 2019, at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix. Shayna Baszler, with significant help from Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir, was the one to end Belair’s streak. However, there’s an important detour during that period.
At WrestleMania 34, Bianca Belair was one of several NXT women who got to compete in the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal. She had a strong showing but was eliminated by none other than Becky Lynch. It didn’t end her streak due to the nature of the match, but it’s surely a moment Belair hasn’t forgotten.
In the year and change since her streak ended, Bianca Belair has continued to churn out top-notch performances and push her opponents to new limits, but she never managed to capture the NXT Women’s Championship. If Belair made the jump to WWE Raw, she would be unlike anyone Becky Lynch has faced before. Belair feels like a main event star in the making, and nothing would bring that to fruition faster than dethroning “The Man” Becky Lynch and becoming the new Raw Women’s Champion.
