It may seem like it’s hard to find good news in the professional wrestling world right now, but a recent partnership between Meiko Satomura’s Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling and IWTV certainly counts.

Professional wrestling fans are still reeling from WWE’s heartless decision to release and furlough several superstars and producers in order to keep their profit margins high. So we need to hold onto any good news we can get.

Thankfully, there are still some positive things going on for us to hold onto, whether it’s Dolph Ziggler supporting people on the independent scene or this latest news on a partnership.

Independent Wrestling TV (IWTV) has announced a partnership with Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling, which is the all-women’s promotion run by Joshi legend Meiko Satomura, who is in the discussion as the greatest wrestler ever.

Sendai Girls is one of the best promotions on the independent scene, and IWTV has a great collection of promotions for fans to watch. Their roster just got stronger with this partnership, and more fans will be able to watch all the incredible wrestling action at Sendai Girls since its beginnings in 2005.

The first Sendai Girls show on IWTV will be broadcast on Thursday, Apr. 23, and it will be the promotion’s 10th Anniversary Show when two GOATs, Meiko Satomura and Io Shirai (now in NXT, then in Stardom) squared off in the show’s main event for Satomura’s Sendai Girls World Title. The card also featured current AEW wrestlers Hikaru Shida and Nyla Rose on the same side of a six-woman tag match.

Next. WWE showed its true colors. dark

This sounds like an incredible show to introduce fans to Sendai Girls, and you had better believe I am going to be checking it out, tuning in at 10 p.m. ET for the show.

For those interested, IWTV (website here) offers subscriptions for $10 a month and $100 per year with popular independent promotions such as Beyond Wrestling and Game Changer Wrestling on their roster.
