Drew McIntyre

Much like how John Cena was chosen by the coroporate brass to be “the guy” for as long as he was, Drew McIntyre was dubbed The Chosen One upon his first official onscreen appearance in WWE. It took a long time before McIntyre could live up to his own potential, but after over a decade since that fateful introduction by Vince McMahon, McIntyre is the WWE Champion.

There would be no greater challenge for the current World Champion than to defend his title against the 16-time World Champion and five time WrestleMania main eventer.

A match/feud between The Scottish Psychopath and Big Match John was actually first teased more than a year ago, leading into the Royal Rumble in 2019, but thanks to an ill-timed injury, Cena missed the Rumble and what appeared to be a future WrestleMania match with the Scotsman later in the year.

If Cena can find himself in good health a year from now, not only would a WrestleMania match-up with McIntyre still be on the table, falling on his sword for the WWE Champion at the Grandest Stage of Them All, isn’t a bad way to end his career, if Cena chose to end it then and there.
