3.) Sami Zayn

Remember when Sami Zayn answer John Cena’s United States Championship Open Challenge for his main roster debut on Monday Night Raw? What if the roles were reversed and John Cena returned to battle Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship on Friday Night SmackDown?

This challenge could elevate Sami Zayn’s Intercontinental Championship reign to new heights and allow him to redeem himself from his debut loss to Cena with a nefarious retention. Why nefarious and not clean?

When Sami Zayn battled John Cena for the United States Championship in 2014, he was a babyface. Now that he is a heel, he has learned crafty tactics to winning matches and he should use that to his advantage, especially if he has the Artist Collective at ringside.

Considering that Cena needs the Intercontinental Championship to become grand slam champion, this would be a nice tease to make the WWE Universe think that he would actually dethrone Zayn and have history repeat itself before he drifts back off to Hollywood.

Like Bray Wyatt, Sami Zayn was on a downward spiral after losing to Cena. Defeating Cena will elevate his altruism and liberation to the point where the WWE Universe starts seeing Zayn as less of a joke and more of a champion.
